On April 20, 2022, an Inauguration Ceremony on “COVID-19 Antibody Test” was organized by Department of Public Health, State University of Bangladesh (SUB) at its own Campus at 77 Satmasjid Road, Dhanmondi. The program was collaborated with Labaid Specialized Hospital as a part of the research “Study of the Status of SARS-CoV-2 Antibody among the Post COVID-19 Patients and Vaccinated Subjects Working in LabAid Group” approved by BMRC. As Principal Investigator of this research, Prof. Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, Pro Vice-Chancellor, SUB; Dean, School of Health Sciences and Head of the Department of Public Health got the permission of COVID-19 antibody testing among 2000 samples from BMRC till 2022 that will help countrywide antibody analysis and vaccination program in future.
Dr. A. M. Shamim, Founder & Managing Director, Labaid Group, President, Board of Trustees (BOT) – State University of Bangladesh launched this inauguration ceremony.
Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Vice President, Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Kabir, Vice Chancellor, State University of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, Pro Vice-Chancellor, SUB, Dr. Md. Hassan Kawsar, Treasurer (Acting), Dr. Sajid Bin Doza, Registrar (Acting), Prof. Mr. Ali Ahsan, Dean, School of Business and Social Sciences, Head, Department of Business Studies and other Faculty members from respective Departments, Administrative officers and staffs participated at the ceremony.
This COVID-19 Antibody Test will continue in Labaid specialized Hospital as a part of this research project.
