Professor Hasnat M. Alamgir completed his Pharmacy degree from Bangladesh, Business
Administration from the USA, and PhD in Epidemiology from Canada. He worked before as
a research scientist in Canada (2006-2010) and as university faculty in the United States
(2010-2019), received research grants from several organizations in Canada and USA,
mentored master’s and doctoral students, and published more than 70 original research papers
in international peer-reviewed journals. He is a regular columnist for The Financial Express
on public health issues and was most recently serving as a professor and chair of public
health at another private university in Dhaka.
