Md. Aftab Uddin Chowdhury is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Sociolinguistics from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), one of the prestigious and ranked universities and had previously been working as a Lecturer in English at BRAC Institute of Languages for almost seven years. Prior joining to BRAC University he had been working as a Research Assistant in the Department of English and Modern Languages, North South University, and also working as a Lecturer in English at Institute of Science, Trade and Technology for one year. Moreover, to enhance his proficiency and competence, he has conducted several workshops and participated in various workshops, seminars, and online courses. He had also completed E-Teacher course offered by Oregon University, USA in 2014. To his credit, he had also been selected for English Language Program Award by U.S. Embassy, Dhaka, Bangladesh for attending ‘TESOL Certificate: Advanced Practitioner’ program offered by TESOL International Association in 2015-2016. In addition, he did his (PGCHE) in Higher Education at Falmouth University, UK in 2018-2019 and did his M.A in English Language and Linguistics at North South University in 2012. He is also interested in research and publication and has got some of his research articles published in international journals.
