Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Kabir
Professor (Adjunct Faculty)

Dr. Kabir had been teaching in the Department of Accounting, University of Chittagong for as many as twenty two years. Besides, he worked as an Adjunct Faculty member in a good number of private universities based in Chittagong. Professor Kabir is a commonwealth scholar. He obtained Ph D under a sandwich program between University of Dundee, UK and University of Chittagong, Bangladesh in 2009. His topic of PhD research was ‘Corporate Governance in Bangladesh’ and his thesis was published by the VDM, Germany. Professor Kabir was an Ex-Notre Damian and earned BBA and MBA from University of Chittagong. In both the occasions, he stood first with first classes and awarded UGC scholarship for his outstanding merit (Faculty first) at undergraduate level. More so, Professor Kabir has demonstrated skill as a researcher. He presented as many as seven papers in international conferences, conducted three UGC financed research projects, and published as many as twenty two research papers. During his stay in University of Chittagong, he supervised five Ph D and M Phil students. Apart from academic jobs, he served Chittagong University Teachers Association twice, in the capacities of Joint Secretary and Treasurer. Also, he served as Director of Bureau of Business Research, University of Chittagong. Before joining Academia, he worked in BEXIMCO Group for one and a half years.
