Debate teaches us to think. SUBDS emphases on critical analysis of information and presence of mind while speaking in public. With its emphasis on critical thinking, effective communication and teamwork, SUBDS teaches skills that serve individuals well in academic institutions, in the workplace, in political life and in fulfilling their responsibilities as citizens of democratic societies. Debating club participates in many debate competitions frequently around Bangladesh, such as, CUET Debate competition, JUDO debate competition, Inter Departmental Debate Competition, ATN Bangla Parliamentary Debate, Barisal Debate Competition etc. Recently in “She dialogue” one of our students named Nadia Parvin Juthi, Department of Architecture, achieved Championship.
