Brigadier General Md Jamal
Hossain, ndc, afwc, psc (Retd) joined State University of Bangladesh (SUB) as a
Registrar on 2nd September 2023. In his long outstanding career, Brig Gen
Jamal contributed exceptionally in many important
appointments at home and abroad; in the fields of command,
leadership, management, education, training etc. Apart from serving
in various appointments of Bangladesh Army and Armed Forces, he served twice in
the United Nations Mission in Congo and Sudan. His
main role in the military was logistics and supply chain. He has also
contributed in the domain of military policing and corporate business
exceptionally. Such experiences, coupled with his personal acquired skills,
enabled him to provide strategic directions, policy making/
implementations, budgeting, complex decision making, influencing
people to work etc.
The General
has special knack on education. His interests in the field of education
are- Moral Education, Communication Skills, Educational Leadership, Supply
Chain and Research Methodology. He is an exceptional trainer and a seasoned
guest speaker on such subjects for students and teachers. He is a writer as
well as an orator.
He has two masters in his
credit, and is undergoing PhD on Moral Education at
BUP. He completed a number of professional trainings/ courses at home and
abroad in diverse fields. Apart from the military classical trainings/ courses,
he completed International Certificate Course on Supply Chain ‘Strategy and Planning’
from ITC (Geneva), completed Post Graduate Diploma in Business Communication
from Dhaka Chamber of Commerce Industries Business Institute (DBI, DCCI),
completed Advance Research Methodology Course (ARMC) from IER of DU, completed
22 separate modular courses of United Nations Training and Research Program- to
name a few.
