Dr. Mohammad Sahabuddin

Dr. Mohammad Sahabuddin is a talented academician and professional with a strong academic background and wide-ranging experience in industry sectors. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor of the Department Business Studies in STATE UNIVERSITY OF BANGLADESH (SUB). He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Economics from the School of Business and Economics (SBE), Universiti of Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia. SBE is the first EQUIS & AACSB (https://econ.upm.edu.my/) accredited Business School and the UPM is the top #158 QS world ranked university in 2024. His doctoral thesis focused on Financial Markets, particularly his research title was “Co-movement and Performance of Conventional and Islamic stock markets in selected developed and developing countries” However, Dr. Sahabuddin has rich experience with the novel approach Wavelet, time series, and panel data analysis using R, STATA, and Eviews software. Moreover, He received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chittagong and Post-Doctoral degree from the Universiti of Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). Dr. Sahabuddin won ‘The Best Paper Award (2018)’ on “Co-movement of Shariah and non-Shariah compliant stock indexes in Bangladesh: A Co-integration and VAR Approach), Faculty of Economics and Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia, FEB Seminar, Malaysia and International Matching Grant (2023) for Research on “The role of Islamic Social Finance and Digitalization on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) Sustainability in Bangladesh, MMU & USTC, RMC/MATCHINGGRANT/CL/2023/022 & URC/USTC-MMU/MG/2023/0603. He has published 20 research papers in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), ABDC and International Peer Reviewed Journals, and two book chapters, and presented several conference papers in International and National conferences. Currently, He also serves as an editorial board member in International Journal of Islamic Marketing and Branding (IJIMB), Inderscience Enterprise Limited, Route de Pre-Bois-1216, Cointrin-Geneva, SWITZERLAND and Journal of Islamic Economic and Business Research ( JIEBR), Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and has served as a reviewer in the world renowned journals like Elsevier, Wiley, Emerald, and Springer Nature.
