The freshers’ reception program and cultural ceremony of the 41st batch of the Department of Pharmacy, State University of Bangladesh, took place on Saturday (September 03, 2022) at the Seminar Room of the own campus. The program began with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the speeches of several faculty members and students. Mr. Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Executive Director- Operations, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., a renowned senior pharmacist, was present and gave a motivational speech to the freshers about career planning and future career prospects. He was impressed upon visiting the laboratory facilities and the seminar library of the department. The faculty members and students from the other batches were also present.
The program was presided over by the Advisor of the Department of Pharmacy, State University of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. M. A. Rashid. He remarked that “We have one of the best laboratory and theory class facilities in Bangladesh, and we are producing students capable of working in the pharmaceutical industry at home and abroad.”
The Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Kohinur Begum, senior faculty Prof. Saiful Islam Pathan, and Associate Head of the Department and assistant professor Mr. Md. Kamrul Islam welcomed the new students. The program was completed with a cultural ceremony organized by the department’s students.
