About the Conference
The conference will highlight the recent research advancement in pharmaceutical sciences, focusing on the development of pharmaceutical formulation, novel drug delivery, traditional and herbal medicines, nutraceuticals, biotech products, and pharmacy practices including the safe and rational use of drugs. The conference will facilitate the national and international scientists, educationists and students to share their latest research achievements and disseminate interesting findings in front of renowned scientists and participants. The official language of the conference will be English.
About State University of Bangladesh
State University of Bangladesh (SUB) is one of the leading private universities in Bangladesh, and its permanent campus is located at South Purbachal, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The University has started its journey with the theme “Join the Trendsetter” in 2002 under the Private University Act 1992. The campus is easily accessible by car or bus from anywhere in Dhaka city. The campus has facilities including transports for students, faculties, and staffs, a sporting zone, canteen, food court, a large playground and an open space for social and cultural activities. All the departments of the university have their dedicated space and common facilities including auditorium and club rooms. The University offers eighteen Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in ten different departments, including Pharmacy and Public Health. The vision of the university is to play a leading role in the field of higher education by producing intelligent and skilled global citizens.
About Department of Pharmacy
The Department of Pharmacy at SUB started its journey in 2004 with the vision to provide world class education, considering the need and demand of pharmacy professionals at home and abroad. The department offers Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) and Master of Pharmacy programs accredited by Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh. The department has now more than 700 fulltime students in the four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) program, and 300 students in the Master of Pharmacy program. The department has 25 brilliant and experienced permanent faculty members having extraordinary research publications in top ranked national and international scientific journals. Twenty-two visiting professors from University of Dhaka and nine guest faculty members from other renowned educational institutions are involved in teaching in this department. In addition, the department has 28 adjunct faculties from reputed pharmaceutical industries to provide unique teaching based on their practical experience in pharmaceutical formulation, quality control and pharmaceutical marketing and management.
The department has 14 state-of-the art laboratories including an animal house and three research laboratories. The teachers and students of the department are actively involved in different areas of research such as pharmaceutical analysis, drug development, drug design, formulation development, in vitro bioequivalence study, rational use of drug, phytochemistry, drug screening and synthesis of medicinal and related substances, bioinformatics and computational chemistry, etc.

We are happy to announce the International Conference on “Pharmaceutical Sciences: Trends in 21st Century” which will be organized by the Department of Pharmacy, State University of Bangladesh on 11-12 May 2023. Abstract Submission Guidelines
The conference invites the researchers and students for both oral and poster presentations on different aspects of pharmaceutical sciences. All the presenters need to submit an abstract before the abstract submission deadline. All the submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee and the corresponding author will be notified about the acceptance of the abstracts on April 15, 2023. Accepted abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts. The deadline for the submission of the abstract is April 10, 2023.
The following guidelines should be followed in preparing the abstract:
- The abstract must be written in English and the standard font style should be Times New Roman.
- The page size must be A4 and the margins should be 1 inch (2.5 cm) from all sides (left, right, header and footer).
- The font size of the title should be 16 pt and bold, texts 12 pt, and affiliations 11 pt (Italics).
- The abstract should not be more than 300 words.
- The name of the corresponding author should be indicated with * mark and bold; the presenting author should be underlined.

Poster Presentation Guidelines
1. Poster size should be: Height = 42 inch, Width = 32 inch
2. Poster settings: Portrait
3. Font: Times New Roman
4. Font size: Title: 60 (Bold) Author’s name: 36 Affiliation: Italic (32). The texts font size should be 28 throughout the poster.
5. Provide the email address and contact number of the corresponding author.
6. The Upper-Left Corner of the poster will contain the “State University Logo” followed by “Poster Number” and the Upper-Right Corner of the poster will contain the Logo of the Author’s Institution/University (Please see the attached sample poster).
7. Poster should maintain the following parts (each part should be bold with font size 50):
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgement (optional)
- References
8. The citations and references should follow AMA (American Medical Association) style.
9. The name of the corresponding author should be indicated with *mark and bold; the presenting author should be underlined.
*** Important notes:
- The poster presenters are encouraged to avoid too much text in the posters.
- It is encouraged to emphasize the methodology (research design) and results parts. The results should be presented through figures and tables. Figures should be clear and with high resolution.
EVENT VENUE
State University of Bangladesh (Permanent Campus) South Purbachal Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The venue of the conference is the permanent campus of State University of Bangladesh, situated near the Shitalakshya river with a scenic view in Kanchan, Purbachal, Dhaka. The well-decorated campus is around three acres of land with an open field surrounded by natural beauty. Participants will feel comfortable during the two-day long conference with all the facilities, including foods. We believe all speakers, invited guests and participants will enjoy the program.
