Touhida Easmin is a Assistant Professor in English at the State University of Bangladesh. She graduated from the Department of English of Jahangirnagar University. She also completed her MA in English Literature from the same university. Passionate about teaching, she joined as a lecturer at the Asian University of Bangladesh in 2012 and continued there for more than five years. She joined at the State University of Bangladesh in 2017. Easmin has published one article in a recognized journal. Beside attending several conferences home and abroad, she also has presented paper in two international conferences. In her seven-year-long teaching career, Easmin taught courses mainly from the literature stream. She believes in developing an aesthetic sense of literature among the students in terms of building a sensible future generation. Reasonably, therefore, her areas of interest include Bengali Literature specifically folk literature, postcolonial literature, gender studies, and culture and media studies among others.
