Abdullah Al-Mamun

Abdullah Al-Mamun is currently pursuing his MPhil. in English Language from the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka and had previously been working as a Lecturer in English at the Centre for Excellence and Career Development, Dhaka International University. Prior joining to DIU, he had been working as a Research Associate in a UGC funded project titled “Linguistic Features of the Bangla and English Languages Written by Bangladeshi Young Adults within the Local-Global Interface” for one year. Moreover, to enhance his professional development, he participated in various national and international seminars, and workshops. He is a member of TESOL Society of Bangladesh and working in Research SIG of this organization actively. In addition, he did his M.A in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and BA in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) from the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka. His areas of interest are trnaslingualism, critical pedagogy, teacher identity, sociology of education, critical discourse analysis etc.
